NATALIE PORTMAN DOES V. AND DOES IT V WELL.

Wow - Natalie Portman looks incred on the cover of the latest V magazine, out now.

Not only was the shoot from Mario Testino, beautiful Natalie was styled by London's Claire Richardson. A sprinkling of homegrown Brit talent flying the flag, woop!

And Portman should work with Claire as much as poss judging by her look in the shoot. Edgy, cool and badass sexy. Amaze.

I'm a bit in love with her hair and make up too, thought it would only work on a girl with her cheekbones. BOOO.

Enjoy the lovely pics!

SPARKLY LOVELY RINGS

I was perusing Marie Claire's ace 10 Best Series and came across their 10 best rings selection. Now my boyfriend doesn't regularly read my blog (tut tut) but just so as not to scare him, these are not hints but just pretty things I like...and would like even more in a couple of years. LOL!

Anyway, aren't these rings gorgeous? Timeless and sparkly and beautiful.

My fave (top pic) is the amazing vintage ring circa 1925. Square cut, packed with diamonds and 1.35 carats worth in total. YUM. Though scarily expensive. Eek!

For any of you lucky ladies getting hitched it seems it's worth looking around for some vintage pieces.

Lush.
Cool Diamonds Juliet £1913
Goldsmiths Kissing Diamond £2500
Vintage £3700

MY NEW FAVOURITE SHOP: THE LITTLE WARDROBE

You know the feeling when you discover a real gem of a shop and you're torn between keeping it a secret and sharing the love? Well lucky for you, I've decided to share :)

The Little Wardrobe is a super sweet boutique based in Daniels in Windsor. With a huge array of cute dresses, it caught my eye straight away. Excellent service from the owner added to it's charm - passionate about the shop's offering and clearly loves the stock.
I walked away with a gorgeous sailor bandeau dress and a flower covered front zip dress. Even better, today was a 25% off day - woohoo!

I'm planning to team the flower dress with a chunky black belt and pixie boots to edge it up a bit and I'm sure my sailor dress will become a holiday staple. Ahoy!

Oh and just to add to the loveliness, look at the gorgeous bag you get to take your purchases home in! CUTE!

Check it out - The Little Wardrobe, Windsor.

PROOF THAT AGGY IS PERFECTION

Even changing from her trademark shocking blonde to unexpected black locks, Agyness Deyn still looks incredible!

This pic was taken at the premier of 'Coco before Chanel', a biopic of the lovely CC herself starring Audrey Tatou, another fashion crush of mine.

The outfit, the hair, the boots, the lace, the look...I am ever so jealous. And yet I still love her!

GO AGGY!

D.I.S.C.O.M.G

WOW. I have a brand new item right at the top of my wishlist. What better addition to my dream room, clad in wall to wall Vivienne Westwood, than a massive disco ball?!

This gorgeous gem from Graham & Green is only £89 and it's FAB.

Imagine how pretty it will look with light shining through! Pure loveliness.
Click the link below to order yours. Leave one for me though please!

Leave one for me!

WOWSER - VIVIENNE WESTWOOD WALLPAPER

Omg how exciting - now you can have a whole WALL of Vivienne Westwood flair. Ok so you can't wear it anywhere but hell, who wants to go out when you can look at pretty things all the live long day?!

The designs are really varied - some super cute and some with a harder egde. But all are unmistakably British and unequivocally Westwood. Even the press shots make me all excited. Lush.

£55 a roll from Cole & Son, tha range is launching September 27th at Focus - the interior design show. It's held at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour and I have a feeling there will be a queue!

BUY SOMETHING PRETTY. SAVE THE WORLD. SORT OF.

From October 9th, you will be able to buy this goooorgeous ring from ASOS. Each limited ring is a limited edition replica of his original £10,000 design.

Luckily the ASOS versions are a pain free £50. Even better, ALL proceeds go to Malaria No More, a UK based charity committed to campaigning and fundraising for a Malaria free world.

OMG - VOGUE THROUGH THE AGES

http://www.vogue.co.uk/magazine/issue.aspx/Archive/

This is SO addictive! Click on the link above to see Vogue covers dating back to 1916! Almost all covers are available, particularly from the 70s onwards. Super fun!

I looked up my year and month of birth - not only was the lovely Cindy Crawford on the cover, Anna Wintour was editor! Can anyone beat that killer combo?

Enjoy!

YASMIN LE BON - FABULOUS AT 44

As I typed that I had to double check my facts - how the hell can she be 44 and look like that?!
Absolutely incredible. Looking half her age, Le Bon is the face of Wallis' AW09 collection. She's the kind of natural beauty who looks expensive in whatever she wears, though the Wallis collection is actually really great this season.
I particularly like this military jacket which looks super snug and cosy, an therefore a guilt free winter buy :)

By next year the three mini Le Bons will be 15, 18 and 20 year old girls, all of whom have blossomed into beauties like their mum. Amber, in particular, has made a real name for herself in the modelling world since signing with Models 1. It seems the fashion world's love for a bit of Le Bon is long set to continue, which I think is aces!
Check out http://www.ylb4wallis.com/ for the full collection and to gasp at how young she looks. Ridic.

FRENCH CONNECTION TEAMS UP WITH ROCK ROYALTY

WOW to the new campaign from French Connection, featuring Keith Richards' gorgeous daughters.

Having previously modelled for Hilfiger, the girls are moving in an edgier direction perfect for FC's mix of classic cuts with a hard edge.

My faves from this shoot are the yellow dress and the grey cuff boots, which are both particularly yummy.

Looking forward to seeing the collection in store!

Herbal Essences...Mmmmmmmm

I got a free Herbal Essences Hello Hydation Coconut & Orchid extract shampoo and conditioner with a magazine and tried them out when I went swimming as they were a handy travel size.

I didn't expect too much but oh my goodness they smell SO good! And my hair felt lovely and silky even after all that horrid chlorine from the pool. My hair was shiny and soft after I dried it and remained so until the next wash.

I've just washed it again with them and the smell is just as scrummy as I remember. I will definitely be getting some full size ones soon :)

I am officially a herbal essences convert. YUM.

OMGee MAGAZINE

For all my fellow twitterers out there, here's a must have fashion follow: www.twitter.com/omgeemag

Tita (www.twitter.com/titasays) founded OMGee Magazine in Summer 07 when, incredibly, she was just 17 years old! She took on the role of editor, sytlist, make up artist, PR rep and designer to name just a few roles.

Now in it's second year, OMGee Magazine is a gorgeous publication you can view easily online. With Tita's top beauty picks, celeb style, trend focus pieces and some of the most gorgeous fashion shoots I've seen this month, OMGee is certainly one to watch.
Tita now runs OMGee magazine with a small staff and she seems undoubtedly destined for great things and even got a shout out from Marie Claire on Twitter. Keep up the good work!

MABILLE SHOES. *GASPS*

Just...Beautiful!

ALEXIS MABILLE PURSES - CUTEST ACCESSORY EVER?

It's not often a purse makes me say "aaaaaaaw" out loud as if I'm cooing over a brand new bubba, but this one is just so cute! This Alexis Mabille purse is the sweetest thing and I wish I could take it home with me!

JERGENS NATURALS - SOLUTIONS FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE

I am always a little bit nervous when I'm sent goodies from lovely companies. I promise to always give honest and fair reviews of products so I keep my fingers crossed they are great...

I am pleased to say that on this occasion, Dolly Girl love love loves the goodies in question! The Jergens Naturals range of body moisturisers have been designed to help with a number of common skin worries in women; cellulite, ageing skin and dry skin.

Each of these skin types has its very own moisturiser, always containing at least 95% natural ingredients, with a unique natural ingredient.

My favourite is the Extra Softening Body Moisturiser. Ingredients such as shea butter and yoghurt combine to soothe and soften skin. I'm planning to put this on my legs over summer as it leaves them glowing, silky smooth and ever so slightly glistening - perfect for a night out. The shea butter has a more subtle, less sickly hint of Cocoa Butter about it. YUM.

Speaking of gorgeous smells, the Skin Firming Body Moisturiser contains pomegranete extract that is absolutely divine. The scent is light and feels like a more grown up version of the original Body Shop moisturisers my friends and I used to buy one another every single birthday at school. Ah the memories...!

The yummy Jergens Naturals range is available in Boots and Sainsbury's as well as some supermarkets. Other products in the range include Age Defying Moisturiser with green tea extract and Ultra Hydrating Moisturiser with Jojoba extract. At around £4.99 for a 200ml tube, this is luxury at a high street price.

Check out www.jergens.co.uk for links to buy online.

EVA GREEN IN ALBERTA FERRETTI

Eva Geen, Montblanc brand ambassador, rocked metallics AND grecian in a S/S 09 Alberta Ferretti dress at the Mariinsky Ball in St. Petersburg.

This girl just oozes class and sophistication. Possible girl crush. Her penchant for unkempt hair gives me hope whenever I get stuck in the rain on an evening out. If only I shared her wardrobe as well as her big barnet!

CAMERON DIAZ'S STUNNING V COVER

This picture is gorgeous! Cameron 'fit girl next door' Diaz looks incredible and super edgy here. It's a good look for her - she should channel it on the red carpet often from now on!

The fierce boots she is wearing are Prada...lucky for some!
She looks beautiful on the cover of Marie Claire too but the V cover made me do a double take and say 'WOW' out loud. Nice work Diaz :)

ECO CHIC FROM WWW.BOBELLE.CO.UK

Introducing a new guilt free shopping site - BoBelle's fabulous range of accessories are all fair trade and hand made.

Made from luxurious eel skin, a by product of the Korean food industry, the accessories are eco chic at its very best.

Even better, each handbag, wallet and purse is named after a Greek Goddess, for an extra touch of glamour :)
Check out www.bobelle.co.uk for the full range and to find out more about eel skin. Apparently in Greek mythology it was thought to bring luck and love - so this really is the ultimate feel good fashion buy :)
I've got my eye on the Theia Clutch Bag in dusky pink - look at the darling little bow! Which is your favourite?

UK HIGH STREET IS AWESOME!

A few months ago I bought a fabulous skirt from Primark for just £13. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and when I noticed the front skirt on the rack was my size, it seemed it was meant to be! I wore the skirt to a beauty party and after one too many cocktails I lost the shoes I teamed it with :(
So, I have been on the look out for the perfect shoes to wear with it ever since and today is the day I found them!

Good old M&S have designed a gorgeous range of shoes for their Limited Collection. As you can see, the 'Swirl' shoes, £25, match the skirt perfectly and I shall be wearing them to a wine tasting function later this evening.

I'm going to team the skirt with a plain white tee and some thin pink, coral and cream bangles.

Will let you know how the wine tasting goes. You can drink it all right? None of that spitting it out malarchy for me...

ALL I WANNA DO IS PREEN

I love me some London, and I thought I would take a minute every now and then to big up some home grown talent.

Preen was launched by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi in 1996, selling clothes inspired by all things iconically British, from Victoriana to punk rock.

Just a year after launch, Preen had a shop on the ever buzzing Portobello Road and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Since their NYFW showing in 2007, they have been internationally adored by fashionistas wanting sophisticated edge and Preen is now sold in no less than 25 countries!

For those of you with little sisters you love to dress up, check their offshoot of the main fashion label for younger style lovers.

I especially love the Victoriana elements of their collections.
The gorgeous dress pictured sold out on net-a-porter in just 24 hours! For £215, the lucky buyers got a fabulous bargain. If any of you were lucky enough to snap one up last month then send pictures!
Preen is also available in Selfridges so go and fill some yellow bags if you like what you see :)

JIMMY CHOO TO DESIGN H&M RANGE!

This is so exciting - Jimmy Choo are designing a collection for H&M!

They will be creating a line of covetable shoes and bags for H&M, as well as a line of women's clothing that will be designed to match the accessories. YUM

Normally a pair of JC's would set you back around £500 but the range for H&M will start at just £40. Incredible. They will also be designing bags so you will be able to liven up a basic outfit with designer shoes and bag and still have change from £100!

The pic above is a sneak preview of the designs, eek!

The collection is on sale from November 14 in 200 stores across the world and I for one cannot wait :)

IS ASOS.COM PSYCHIC?

Sometimes I think ASOS can read my mind...

I was online looking for a summery jumpsuit to buy and decided to check out ASOS first, only to find that they have a whole shopping category for them!

In the end I've decided that my favourite is the Motel Rabbit Print Bandeau Short Playsuit at £34.50.

Love the print - I was looking for floral but who can say no to super cute bunnies?!

Perfect!

MELLOW JELL-O

On my wish list this week is the new Colour Riche Shine Gelee from L'Oreal Paris.

With more pigment than a balm and a subtler shine than a gloss, this range is perfect for a toned down, natural finish. Teamed with hippy braids, lace dress, chunky accessories and wellies a girl cannot go wrong at festivals this summer.

Available at a special offer price of only £5.82 from Boots online, this is a real bargain! Enriched with Royal Jelly, these are fit for a princess.

INSTANT SUN LIGHT FROM CLARINS

All you clever beauty lovers out there know that when it comes to tanning, faking it is the sensible option.
For pale girls like me, fake tan can often look orange and obvious, so shimmers are a great way to get a healthy, natural glow.
The Instant Sun Light Shimmer Palette from Clarins is around £20 and can of course be used to create shimmer on eyes, cheeks and the frequently overlooked décolleté, so it's a triple useful purchase!
A light texture and three beautiful shades make this a summer must have.

MISS OOPS FIXES ALL YOUR STYLE BOO BOOS

I have just discovered the wonder that is Miss Oops. This clever company has created products to make beauty and fashion blunders a thing of the past!

They really have thought of everything, from the deodorant mark removing Rescue Sponge to knickerless knickers (i swear!) and even a cotton boob tube to make low v necks office friendly.

Check the site out: http://www.missoops.com/default.php

BENEFIT = MAKE UP HEAVEN

I've been a huge Benefit fan for years now but I never cease to be amazed by their latest additions.

My two absolute staple make up items are both by Benefit - Dandelion blusher (perfect for pale girls like me) and BADgal lash for long, flirty lashes.

My lovely friends recently bought me the Realness of Concealness set. The kit contains lemon-aid to correct discolouration, boi-ing to cover under eye circles, ooh la lift to brighten the skin around the eyes, lip plump for a gorgeous pout and high beam for dewy skin.

At £22.50 this is well worth snapping up for summer for a natural and easy to wear look. Even better, it means you have all your make up essentials in one little box on a night out, easy to find in any bag, even after one too many cocktails...

I lo.v.e everything about this brand - from the retro packaging to the super fun product names. Long may Benefit's innovation continue!

PROPS TO CIARA

I was lucky enough to see The Circus starring Britney Spears at the o2 Arena this week.
When my pals and I arrived we were unexpectedly upgraded to VIP ringside which was incredible! Much squealing and jumping on the spot later, Ciara (BritBrit's support act) came on stage and danced her booty off.

With a great voice, killer bod, and wicked style - not to mention ridiculous flexibility - Ciara blew the o2 away.

Check out the back of her dress at the Met Ball earlier this year. That back! That hair! That silk and lace! LUSH.

So props to you Ciara, I am officially a massive fan.
